Saying Goodbye

We offer humane, respectful euthanasia for our established clients. We do our absolute best to make sure that the entire process is as dignified and as peaceful as possible for your pet.

End-of-Life Conversations

We don’t expect our clients to make this decision alone, and we will not euthanize on demand. We will have a conversation with you regarding your pet’s condition to make certain that euthanasia is the right path.

Our Procedures

We schedule our end-of-life appointments first thing in the morning, during our lunch hour, or after hours to limit the number of other clients who might be in our hospital. We are mindful of how deeply personal this decision is, and we want to provide you with the most peaceful, private experience possible. We also use a room with a separate exit so you don’t have to walk through the waiting room.

You are welcome to bring with you a special blanket or toy, and we can play soothing music. We will keep the room softly lit and explain as much or as little about the process as you’d prefer. You have the option of taking your pet’s body home, and we can advise you on any local guidelines regarding burying your pet at home.

Cremation

If you choose cremation for your pet, we will coordinate that service for you and return your pet’s ashes to you. We will charge you only what we are charged for your pet’s cremation.
